My current print work starts by using Japanese ink wash figures painted on rice paper, then adhered to white paper. Or I hand carve stamp figures on linoleum, roll them with paint and press to paper. Texture and layering of color are added using etching oil paint; applied to pieces of recycled objects, pressed to paper.
I am inspired by the nature that surrounds me; it is an ever-changing color palette; be it on the water or land. I am influenced by my Latin culture using a whimsical style and vibrant colors. Much of my work is symbolic. I also have a series focusing on the endangered species of Mexico.
