Kim McIntyre is a queer furniture maker and artist with a drive for perfection in technical techniques, and a passion for collaborating with the natural beauty of wood grain. She has spent over a thousand nights sleeping under the sky leading wilderness expeditions, combined with formal education from Vermont Woodworking School, a BA from Sterling College, over ten years of owning McIntyre Furniture, LLC, and time spent as Wood Studio Manager at Pratt Fine Arts Center. This unique combination of experiences allows Kim to create high-quality, sustainable furniture that has been influenced by nature, mid-century modern aesthetics, and Scandinavian design.

Kim lives in Bellevue but makes time to spend a few weeks a year on Lopez Island.  While on Lopez she spends time with family and recalibrates via long dog walks, exploring beaches, kayaking, & crafting.
