I am a mixed-media artist working with real flowers, leaves, sticks, moss and other natural materials. I forage and deconstruct natures' elements and position them in large flower presses to reshape and dry. The organic materials are then mounted into imagined graphic forms. Next, hand-coloring on the petals are suspended in thin layers of encaustic wax. The wax, hand-coloring, and now cut paper collage, flower sculptures, and installation pieces are my latest passions. My work translates into an artistic technique with a fresh, unique and modern look of original botanical collage.

With my degree in Graphic Design, and my love of flowers, I created two things that bring me joy - the art of pressed flowers + graphics. I am a self-described rule breaker, and I strive to work outside of any one genre.

I split my time between New York City and Lopez Island, Washington, where I run my studio, The Barn. While on Lopez Island, I source most of my materials from the abundant fields, meadows, roadsides, and cultivated gardens of generous friends and family. I maintain a rigorous studio practice, and have launched a series of pressed flower workshops at my studio. Through Fresh Pressed Workshops, I hope to empower communities to be more hands-on with their surroundings.

With a passionate drive to enact positive change in the world, I donate a significant portion of my work to the many causes I support on both coasts. My works are held in
private collections across the country.

"By interacting with natural elements and creating artworks, my aim is to capture fleeting moments in time. Enjoy a flirtatious wink, ask a serious question, ponder a curious observation, chase a thrilling adventure, endure a heartbreaking loss, share a gut-busting laugh..."Stories of human nature expressed through nature itself."
