MISSION
IT IS THE MISSION OF THE LOPEZ ARTIST GUILD TO:
Encourage and promote the visual arts on Lopez Island
Provide an environment in which artists of all levels can meet and exchange ideas and information
Organize exhibits in which members may display and sell artworks
Establish ties within the county that promote the visual arts
Support life-long art education
Promote individual member artists and the Lopez Artist Guild
MEMBERSHIP
MEMBERSHIP IN LOPEZ ARTIST GUILD IS OPEN TO ANYONE WHO:
Is involved in the visual arts
Identifies with our mission, purpose and program
Has a connection to Lopez Island
Pays the annual membership fee of $25, due January

Lopez Artist Guild is a non-profit 501(c)(3). We are grateful to our many supporters who have generously donated to the guild. Please contact us if you are interested in being a supporter.
HISTORY
Lopez Artist Guild was incorporated July 1, 1924 as Home Economic's Club. It was amended April 14, 1959, as Lopez Island Home Economic's Club, amended again June 8, 1973, as Lopez Arts and Crafts Association, and amended later as Lopez Artist Guild, a non-profit organization.
SERVICES AND ACTIVITIES
THE LOPEZ ARTIST GUILD ::
Sponsors the Lopez Artist Guild website which promotes individual artists, art shows, events, classes and workshops, and opportunities for artists
Sponsor member's group and individual art shows at the Lopez Center for Community and the Arts and the Gathering Place at the Hamlet
Annually holds four board and three general membership meetings
Sponsors the yearly Lopez Island Studio Tour to local artists' studios during the Labor Day weekend
Awards the Shirley Wright Scholarship to selected High School seniors who are Lopez Island residents
Has a presence at the Lopez Farmers Market to promote the Guild and to provide space for artists to sell their work.
Promotes art display in public places
