I love wood. Since I was a little girl, I've enjoyed working with and making things from beautiful wood.

From wooden toys to strip-built wooden boats, wooden spoons and now live-edge maple benches, I like the texture, grain, color and character of all kinds of wood.

I carve spoons from Lopez Island wood. Brought down by the wind, lovely pieces of madrone, maple, cherry, and peach wood find their way to me and become spoons. They are unique, functional art pieces and bring me such joy to carve.
