Jaimie Terada is currently the Lopez Island School K-12 Art Teacher. She has her Masters in Teaching Visual Art k-12 and BA in Fine Art. She has been creating art since she was very young. Influenced and inspired by her grandmother Rosemary Pittman who was a folk artist and senior activist and Karen Kosoglad her art teacher who also pushed her to pursue art as well as teaching art. She had a lot of experience from her art emphasis Alternative High School where she won first prize in the annual citywide Naramore Art competition. She went to The San Francisco Art institute where she studied Sculpture and Painting for two years and finished her Bachelor in Visual Arts at The Evergreen State College where she returned to receive her Master's Degree in Teaching in Visual Art.
