My art is rooted in narrative - the story is my vehicle for exploring how history, culture, and personal experience shape our interpretation of the world. I am drawn to stories, fables, and parables because they offer a rich and complex canvas for discovering universal themes and emotions.

Through my work, I aim to distill these themes into allegorical objects that speak to the human condition.

It has been four decades since I first studied clay in college and then was introduced to glass blowing by becoming an apprentice to Richard Marquis at nineteen. Discovering lampworking at Pilchuck was the missing puzzle piece, this technique married my narrative style within a sculptural form.
