Slow Build Studio designs, fabricates and constructs finely crafted furniture, cabinetry and interior environments using sustainably sourced materials and methods. We pride ourselves on timeless designs and fine craftsmanship.
Slow Build Studio was officially established in 2014 but the ideation of the studio began during my undergraduate studies and continued to take shape in graduate school. While studying interior design and architecture I nurtured a passion for design, craft and sustainability that has become an integral part of our studio culture. Our portfolio of work is an exploration of design, fabrication and construction at the human scale with a focus on furniture, lighting, craft objects and space making.
We believe in a strong local community and embrace a Triple Bottom Line approach with a focus on people, planet and profit as a pathway toward sustainability. All of our work is produced on Lopez Island, WA and shipped globally. We utilize FSC certified and locally sourced wood, reclaimed and found objects as well as environmentally friendly finishes.
