Images found in nature started the journey for the textures found in Leslie’s ceramic work.  Long before creating her first ceramic piece as Dragonfly Studios, she was photographing animal prints in snow, leaf impressions in mud, and ancient petroglyphs.  Combining various textures in clay came naturally, resulting in what could be described as a functional ceramic quilt.  

Work can be found at Chimera Gallery on Lopez and on Saturdays during the Summer months you’ll find her at the Lopez Island Farmers Market.
